Dianne Perry Long, 66, of Halifax, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, her family was by her side.

Dianne was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend.

A native of Roanoke Rapids, she was the daughter of the late, James and Pauline Lynch Perry. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Lewis. She was a 1968 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Wayne Long; her son, Brian Lewis and his wife, Angela of Roanoke Rapids; stepdaughter, Christina Long Keeran of North Louisburg, Ohio; stepson, Chris Long of Roanoke Rapids; her sister, Linda P. Mason and her husband, Linwood of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Kenneth Wayne Perry and his wife, Cindy of Hickory; granddaughter, Briana Lewis; step-grandson, Owen Wayne Eyler; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Debbie Lassiter.

A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
